In compliance with PPACA, effective January 1, 2011, certain over-the-counter items are no longer reimbursable under an HSA, unless you have a prescription from your physician.
The list is extremely excessive and arduous to look over, so we have decided to partner with HSAstore, the only e-commerce site exclusively stocked with HSA eligible products. It also lists every possible over-the-counter item and tells you whether or not the item is still eligible or if you need a prescription for the item to be eligible. You also have the ability to buy items online and have them shipped directly to your home, without doing laps around the aisles at your local grocery store or pharmacy trying to figure out whether certain items are eligible or ineligible.
